In Without [Focus]

Circa 2012 :: The photographs in this series are rooted in the curiosity of self-expression and the interpretation of life through abstract forms. Utilizing a technique known as “bokeh” reduces the composition's aesthetic nature, rendering its spatial construct through the eye of a camera lens. Inspired by Impressionist works of modern art, these photographs explore atmospheric characteristics that express a poetic sense of mood and emotion. The photographs in this series are deliberate and accidental, open to interpretation and experimentation. They explore the subtle characteristics of light, color, space, and investigate the capacity of the camera to transcend the nature of reality.
